Stacer Days: Airfest 2013

Still catching up... The Georgetown Airfest was held on November 2, 2014. Alan was on shift this year, so the boys and I braved it alone.

Every year it seems they add more and more classic cars to the show, which is fine by me :)

They were discussing whether or not the skeleton in the driver's seat was real. This is important stuff.

You wouldn't believe how hard it was to get this photo. There were about five preceding this one of Adam jumping around doing everything but posing for a photo.

There is something artsy about these colorful old planes.

He requested a photo with this plane. It is a "Lead Bottom" from the Planes movie.

We got to see this latecomer, a Chinese Yak 18 (based out of Georgetown Airport), land and taxi in to his spot.

The C-47 Southern Cross was back again this year along with its highly over priced rider tickets. Something new though was the chance to pay a few bucks and walk around on the inside and sit in the cock-pit. I knew the boys would enjoy that so we paid our few dollars and checked it out.

After we walked around for a while and saw all there was to see, we sat down near the runway in hopes to see the C-47 take off and the Falcon Flight flyover.

The flight was delayed due to some sort of engine issue.

I'm late enough in posting these next two photos that all the embarrassment has left and replaced with humor. So hopefully if you were there and you saw that over sized baby throwing a fit in the middle of the airfest, you have already forgotten how similar he looked to our son, Adam.
