Our day trip to Inks Lake

My parents camped at Inks Lake last week. We would have gone out there to camp ourselves as well, but it was the same week Alan was out of town. So we settled for a long day trip to visit.

We played outside for a while, took a nice long boat ride, had a picnic and then escaped the heat in the motor home for a little while. The boys are easily entertained...
Silly straw glasses Grandma had in the toy bin.
Adam took a turn.
He kept retreating to the steps near the door.
Aaron "hanging out" with Grandpa.
Then they found a few little balls that light up when thrown.

After lunch we took a walk down toward the Camp Store and the big playground.

We stopped into the store for an ice cream treat and sat on the back deck.
I tried to keep the vultures at bay.
We ended the day with dinner at the Hoover Valley Cafe. It was a nice day trip distraction for a couple of boys (and Mama!) who were starting to feel the effects of a week without Daddy. I'm glad to say he is home and everything is right as rain.
