Inks Lake State Park, May 1-3

May first through the third we ventured back to Inks Lake State Park. This time everyone was in good health and we had a much better outlook for our second little camping trip. My parents were already there on one of their week long trips to Inks Lake, so we met up with them a few campsites down. Grandpa had his boat and Aaron was more than happy to test the waters with a little fishing, and some boat driving...
Aaron (with Grandpa's help) caught a good sized pan fish...
Later that evening they came back to drop Grandpa off and pick up Adam and me for a quick ride around the lake.
Adam took his turn driving the boat...
To save water I attempt to give them baths at the same time in the camper. It is one of the cutest and most precious times. They are very good about helping each other and waiting their turns. Don't worry its been slightly doctored to protect the innocent....
The sunset on the first night...
Alan likes to fish on the pier after dark. Here is some evidence...
While waiting for our turn to ride in the boat, we played trucks on the bed and went on a walk with Grandma.
Dad spent quite a bit of time with his nose in a book. Once he finished, he was able to be social. In his defense, it happens to most who read Hunger Games. I zoomed in to take this photo from our campsite.
The lakefront...
This time we did not take the playpen, but instead enforced the upper bunk to make it suitable for Adam to sleep in. The first night we learned a valuable lesson: a large pillow is not enough to keep a curious and devious toddler from destroying the mini-blinds in order to look out the window.
Aaron, after waking up in his bottom bunk bed.

An amazing place on the lake... Called the Circle H Lodge.
One of Aaron's favorite things to do while camping is playing in the dirt outside the camper...
Believe it or not, this is "smiling."
A video of our camping trip...
Relaxing in the camper that afternoon. The boys watched a bit of Thomas.
Well, Aaron did. Adam just ran back and forth messing with Alan.
The next morning, before we packed up we went on a short hike on the other side of the park and lake.
At the risk of sounding quite corny... no matter what hike, no matter where it is, this is my favorite view.
