It was held at the Temple Airport and aside from the not-so-informative program, there really was not much information or signage, so please pardon my lack of detail.

We spotted an old Jeep...
And the boys had to check it out and discuss all of the attachments...

I found this plane particularly photogenic.
Aaron in front of the MI-24 Russian Hind Helicopter. This was the same one that came to our Air Fest in Georgetown...
We ate our picnic lunch under the wing of one of the Zeros that performs in the "Tora, Tora, Tora" show. It was a great place to eat and watch them set up for the show.
"Hey Adam, show teeth..."
As it turns out, there were several of these old Jeeps buzzing around. Alan went up to talk to the older gentlemen around this one and they asked if we wanted to take a picture. And we did...
Aaron was being super careful because I told him not to touch anything. His normal "driving" procedures are push all buttons, turn signal and shifting devices, then yank wheel in both directions with great force. Needless to say, this Jeep has been well maintained, probably not many four-year-old's around.
There was also a commemorative vehicle section to check out, complete with big tripod guns...
And more old Jeeps in pristine condition....
Adam was on foot now and doing a pretty good job keeping up, although he'd see something shiny and take off periodically - but he would never get far. He doesn't get to roam around all too often, usually strapped to a seat, so he was feeling pretty cool and independent.
Alan and his boys attempting to identify trucks...
| Some sort of English tank/car. Aaron wanted to make sure we understood that most tanks don't have wheels. |
We left in the middle of the Tora, Tora, Tora show... we thought it would be too much for the boys. I took this picture (of the Zeros from that show) off the Air Show website because I like it.
Here's a video of the day's events... seeing some of the planes come in, waiting for the shows to start, the B-52 flyover, etc...
