Inks Lake State Park

Over a three day period last week all four of us were plagued by the Norovirus that has been running rampant in Pflugerville (where Alan works) and Round Rock (where the boys and I go to BSF). Thankfully, It came and went rather quickly and we were able to move on with our plans to meet my parents at Inks Lake State Park for our first family camping outing.


Inks Lake SP is a wonderful park about an hour drive from our house. Since Inks Lake is a constant level lake, it did not fall victim to the drought, so it was still fishable and open for boat business. My parents take their motor home and boat to this park quite a bit, so we decided to crash their serenity and hang out with them this time. 


Adam, Grandma and I stayed in the motor home while Aaron, Alan and Grandpa stayed in our cabin tent. The tent situation got a little dicey late Monday night when the cold front blew through. There were gust of 40-50mph, so Alan and my dad were up adding tie-downs and blocking the tent with the Expedition.

The wind died down on the second morning we were there, so the guys bundled up and went fishing.
