Aaron's Second Birthday Celebration

The day started out like this...Thankfully that was just Aaron being silly and not "difficult." He was impatiently watching me ice his birthday cake...
We decided to have his party a little early because his actual birthday is on a Monday, Daddy had to work Sunday, and the sooner the better because we are really hoping to be tied up in the hospital very soon.

Mommy and her little man who is two years old!!Here's the birthday boy, looking quite grown up and excited for his festivities.Checking out the gifts... he'd been eyeing a few of them all week as I unsuccessfully tried to hide them in the den.We had a nice turnout... both sets of grandparents, Amy, Addy, Chuck and Kathy...

My sweet little man awaiting his song and cake...He was a little concerned about the "waff" (his word for fire) and even more concerned when everyone started singing to him. He survived the attention and desperately wanted to go play outside instead of taste the cake.

The past two years have been the most blessed and wonderful of our lives thus far. It is hard to imagine what two more years will bring... or even two days for that matter. This time in Aaron's life is incredibly dynamic and each day brings new words, sentences, concepts, things to laugh about, craziness, new discoveries, and new adventures. We look forward to what God has in store for our growing family and thank Him constantly for the angel he has given to us, named Aaron.
