Come what May

We are still here. May... it was a while ago and it seems quite a bit happened....

Aaron and I taught the second half of Adam's Sunday School class on Mother's day...
He worked real hard as you can see.
Adam and one of his church friends.

Autumn turned ten months...

Great picture of our sweet angels.
She loves to cuddle and climb on her brothers.
Mama/Autumn selfie.
On May 18th, we all went into Austin to go to the Bob Bullock Museum and the Botanical gardens.
I made the boys a "scavenger hunt" to complete at the museum.
We had a nice lunch in the Museum Cafe and then went over to the Zilker Botanical Gardens. There were storm clouds all around us which caused a cool breeze the whole time we were there. It was perfect. Autumn fell asleep a few minutes after we got there and took a record long pack-nap so I just followed Daddy and the boys around soaking up one of our last cool days...
We were attempting to copy a photo I vaguely remembered from when the boys were younger...
(September 2012)
Here's our proof that Mama and Autumn were there!

Since we last went to the Botanical Gardens (a couple of years ago), a new section opened up. The Hartman Prehistoric Gardens... it was easily the best part of the whole place.
Adam making friends.
We stood here for five minutes and watched this guy stalk, then pluck a fish from the water.
A few days later we took a drive up to see Lake Buchanan. There's a park there called, Canyon of the Eagles, that we like to visit. The last time we were there the lake level was so low, there was almost no water visible. The month of May saw crazy rain and flooding in our area, so much so that the lake was within a few feet of its historic high water level (from 1991). The water was very dirty and contained all manner of flood related debris, but it was great to see it up so high again. I personally haven't seen the water that high since my early college years when I would come up here with my family.
Perfect spot for a foot race.
The dock back where it belongs... in the water.
Is it too early to call her a Mini-me? I've been waiting a long time for this :)
While I fed Autumn the boys found a rocky path that led up to the restaurant and hiked up to investigate...
