Glass

Alan attempted a coast fishing trip last week and my mom came up to hang out with us for a couple of days. During that time our homeschool group met at Salado Glassworks to watch a demonstration. It was interesting and different enough that I thought we'd enjoy it.
Ready for some action, while I stood in the back with a sleeping Autumn strapped on.
They discussed the process and explained things as they went, stopping periodically to show us what was going on.
Blowing into the pipe.
He was making a wine glass.
It was a neat excursion and I think Grandma and the boys enjoyed it. Afterwards we went over to Pace Park and had a picnic and they played while I fed Autumn. It was a beautiful late January day!

Since the weather was so perfect and conditions were tolerable, Alan wanted to attempt a coast outing. He has been unable to go this season because of weather, red tide, work stuff, babies.... you name it - so the risky [fishing conditions are unpredictable] winter trip was worth it and ended up working out for him...
One man camp.
