With all of the rain the word on the street was that Lake Georgetown was full! In the four years that we've lived here we've always gone down to the lake to play on the "rock beach" where in order to get to the water you had to hike through shoulder high plants to a muddy ledge, not too far from the buoys that tell the boats to slow down. We've never complained, in fact we kind of liked it because not many people would go through the trouble, so we usually had it to ourselves.
After supper on May 25th we went for a drive to check out the lake. The beach was a beach again... with water at the edge of the pretty pebble rocks and only a short distance from the parking lot, versus a hike.

Then it started raining again.

| Grumpy little puppy. |
And then more tornadoes... this time there was one not more than two miles from our house. More serious closet measures were enacted. Thankfully Alan was home with us during the worst of it, then Pflugerville went under water and he went back into work.
The next day, May 26th, we went out to the lake again out of curiosity. The reports now said the lake was nine feet over the full line. Less than twenty-four hours from when we were there before...

 |
| The beach was closed, naturally, because it was just a tad flooded. So we parked up top and walked down to check it out. |
 |
| The area that was a pebble beach a day ago was now completely covered in several feet deep water. |
 |
| At first you may think he is walking on water... but this is Adam we're talking about. |
 |
| Weird post-storm clouds. |
The weather took a break long enough for us to go to Aunt Jenny's house and over to her neighborhood splash pad...

| Big Mama and my studly little men. |
 |
| Since the backyard is still soggy, we went up to the rec center playground one morning and let them run for a couple of hours. Literally, they ran for a couple of hours... until the red-faced, sweaty monkeys finally slowed down. |

| This past weekend our friend George celebrated his 6th birthday at the bowling alley. It was our first bowling party. |
 |
| Alan was going to take advantage of this new-found sunny weather pattern and make one last pre-baby run down to the coast. But then a Mexican oil-tanker decided to plague the Texas coast with tar balls. Tar balls and surf fishing, not a good combination. |
