This one requires a separate post. I have caught up on the blog. It is current. I'm writing you about things that are happening right now! It is a rather substantial accomplishment in my book, one that hasn't happened in years. I am going to make a serious effort to post every couple of days or so to get back to better documenting and tracking the life of our growing family.
Speaking of growing, my belly! I'm at 18 weeks and 6 days. This coming Tuesday, March 3rd we have an appointment and will find out the baby's gender. We've been counting down the days for some time now. I was just thinking this morning how much faster the pregnancy time has gone with two kids, versus one or none.
Everything is going smooth, or at least as expected. The baby is starting to wiggle and move - all day long. Sometimes it's energetic bursts and sometimes it's slow, strong, yoga moves that cause all sorts of interesting and uncomfortable side effects. I don't think anyone ever gets used to the sensation of having a living creature moving around inside.
I've found that in the five years or so since I was last pregnant, I've been blessed with memory failure on the "uncomfortable" parts of being pregnant. I've become a bit of a wuss. A thankful wuss, none-the-less, and trying to keep things in perspective. As the belly grows and we will shortly start working on bedroom reorganization and acquiring more baby gear and such, it will help offset the nagging fear of carrying a third enormous baby.
There's a long time left. But in a short week we'll be halfway there. July is right around the corner. In the meantime, I've got some boys (three of them) to spend time with, enjoy, and love on as much as I can before my attention is split again.
So, unless something pressing happens between now and then, expect a post on Tuesday to see what God has blessed us with!
