The next couple of weeks in July were full of adventures...
| Our tomato plant haul for the day! |
| My Aunt Donna was visiting my parents in San Antonio. We met the whole family in Wimberley for lunch one Sunday. |
Alan's sister, Amy was up for a visit a few days later. Her daughter, Addyx is a big dinosaur fan so we decided to try out the special dino exhibit at the Mayborn Museum, in Waco.
| They were discussing whether or not it was real. They haven't yet seen Jurassic Park. |
| The exhibit consisted of a room full of nicely decorated video game modules. All of them had the same nineties era game. Since the boys have no video game experience, they though it was kind of cool for a little while. |
| Yep, that's our kid trying to remove the eye. |
Thankfully, we really like the rest of the museum, so it made up for the underwhelming dino bit...
| Adam is still a little bit scared to walk on the glass. |
Even though we've been there a few times, the boys still enjoy each of the rooms and seem to get excited about different things each time.
| Working on this ball maze game. |
| The water board is a favorite among all three of my boys and is the reason I always pack spare clothing. |
| Brother duet. |
| Sitting inside a heart chamber. |
| Addy and Adam making lightning. |
| Very serious. |
While we were waiting to leave, I was taking silly pictures of Adam... a hobby of mine...
We kept at swimming lessons throughout the whole summer...
| "Mama, take my picture please!" |
| Adam renamed this back-float the "mosquito." |
Mid July (7.14.14) we packed up and took our new tent trailer down to PINS. Alan had recently been down with a friend and determined that it was not too hot and quite doable for an overnight stay. The weather report was promising, so we packed for two nights this time.
When we got there the weather was beautiful and the surf was very mild. Unfortunately from that moment on all conditions worsened, rapidly.
| Helping Daddy. |
We made the most of our afternoon and the boys ran around like crazy, as usual.
| On a walk Adam found this in-tack coconut washed up on the beach. He hauled it around for the rest of the stay. They were fascinated that it floated. |
| Our camp |
| Our new tent worked perfectly. The next morning the at breakfast. |
Here's a little documentation of the boys playing, the horrible fishing conditions, and our camp...
| And as usual on the way home Adam succumbed to it all. |
