A bit of June...

We finally bit the bullet and got the boys into swim lessons this June. Mrs. Danielle came highly recommended from a trusted source. She does private and very small group lessons at her home. The boys took to her immediately. I took a ton of photos and videos of their progress, but I've only included a few here. Suffice it to say, they are not scarred anymore, they both get their heads wet and Aaron could avoid water-catastrophe if needed and has started actually swimming. Adam came a long way too, but he had a few lessons of fear and resistance to overcome, so he'll get there eventually.

For a few days she had to "help" him into the water.

If you can imagine [sarcasm] they both tried to talk non-stop during their lessons. I jokingly suggested we come early just so they can chat with her before business got underway.

Adam is a really good back-floater.

A trip to have lunch with Daddy. They never tire of playing on the trucks.

We did a mini-Vacation Bible School at our church this summer. I helped lead one of the sessions and was able to sneak this photo of Adam diligently working when no other kids were next to him... 

The boys made all sorts of armor-related crafts for "God's Armor." 

It was such a hit that they wore parts of their armor on and off for the next few weeks.

We made cards for Father's Day... 

And showered our hero with gifts and hugs...

 I helped decorate and host a girly baby shower for two women in my Bible study group... 

Made a couple of diaper cakes. It's been a while... not enough babies these days :)

Lastly, we took a short drive up to Florence to see if anything has changed at the Florence Vineyard. The vines are much more developed than the last time we were there.
