New Playground

We met a friend of mine and her two year old son, Elijah, a couple of weeks ago (5.30.12) at the Play for all Abilities Park in Round Rock. It is this neat playground and learning center for children of all makes and sizes and physical abilities, designed largely in part for children with disabilities. Aside from its popularity and crowds of unruly children, it was a really neat place.
This is a little "town" complete with a gas station, HEB, school, fire station, and a hospital. There are miniature roads and street lights too.
Naturally, the boys were drawn to the fire station, even though they could not see out the windows of the little firetruck...
Yes, they are both in there, along with Elijah. So I guess this part wasn't really designed for the vertically challenged.
Adam taking Aaron for a ride for a change. As expected, they took this part very seriously.
There were several other play "zones." One of the boys favorites was the music area, which consisted of a hand crank little radio and several types of drums and pipes.
Then there was this swing. I took this picture right before Elijah got in the swing with them. They all three laid down and rode this swing for almost ten minutes. It was a nice chance for the Mamas to talk, but it was a bit weird, they hummed a little while singing but there was no other noise or movement the whole time. Maybe we should install something like this in the backyard.
