We are couple of weeks into our first organized reading and writing lessons. Everyday when we are finished he shows his Daddy, and we take a photo and send it to him if he is on shift.

This is the boys' version of one of my workout videos. Adam was doing plank jumping jacks... and yes, he can do them correctly when he wants to. We also found out recently that he can do the splits. The flexibility of children is alarming.

When the boys watch TV this is how they sit on the couch...literally on top of each other. It is so precious. Most of the time they both have their babies as well, so Doggie, Mr. Bear, Puppy, and The RooRoo are present.
I went out to eat with some friends a few weeks ago and Alan sent me this picture. Normally Aaron rides the dump truck alone, and at high speeds. However the battery was low on juice, so they were not going as fast as normal.
Alan has cut Aaron's hair a few times and usually with scissors. We recently tried cutting both boys' hair (and Alan's too actually) with the electric trimmers. Adam has never let us touch his hair and gets a bit emotional when the haircut lady did it... but this time he was okay and only got scared once. Considering the speed at which their hair grows, their ability to sweat, and the cost of a professional cut these days... it all works out nicely.
Reminds me of someone I once knew (his big brother)...
Another thing he gets from his brother... Adam also loves to "read" toy papers at breakfast time. Very serious business.
I am a sucker for matching pajamas. Despite this set getting a bit small for both of them, I still dress them matching occasionally because I just can't help myself. We were waiting for Alan to finish a phone call on this night so we could do our bedtime story, so I snapped a few photos...

| Adam: "Aaron, what exactly are you doing with that Bear?" |
On Friday, May 25th we had the honor of a few hours with my beloved friend Regina, who currently resides in Tyler, Texas. Regina was good friends and neighbors with my parents in Houston, before they had children. Then through children, moves, etc. Regina and her family have remained close friends. Her daughter Ryann will be graduating high school next year (makes me feel so old!) and has begun university shopping, so they were in town to see Southwestern. They spent the afternoon and evening with us...
| Adam had Ryann (left) and her friend Erin (right) wrapped around his finger in no time. |
| Posing with the ladies... as usual. |
| After dinner he showed them his new toy... |
| And posed for more pictures. |
| Aaron stopped dancing to engage in some deep conversation with Regina... possibly explaining why he was shirtless and wearing a fake snakeskin red hat. |
| I'm pretty sure Adam wanted to keep Erin. |
| And Regina wanted to keep Aaron. |
| My sweet friends Ryann and Regina. |
Thirty minutes after Regina and the girls left our house, Jenny and Barrett arrived. They were in town for a baby shower and spent a couple of nights with us. They delivered a lawn mower from Grandma and Grandpa and the boys were eager to try it out...
Just mowing, minded his own business...
And Aaron comes along and causes a collision.
Then Aaron purposely throws himself to the ground for added drama.
| Adam: "What is wrong with you?" |
| Coming back for more. |
| Stop to pose with Aunt Jenny. |
| Adam teaching Barrett a few things about basketball. |
| Then he got a golf lesson from Aaron. |
| Bob the Builder... maybe. Whatever it was, it was quite serious. |
| Aunt Jenny taking photos of bath time again.... me and my little Jedi. |

SO many beautiful photos in this one! Adam is starting to look really like Aaron - a couple of times it took me a second or two to work out which was which! LOVE that one of the two of them on the couch, they look like the best of friends. We must catch up on video chat soon!
