The weather was so nice that first week of January that we finally made it out to explore part of the hiking around Lake Georgetown. There are several parks and they are all connected by the Goodwater Loop Trail, a twenty-eight mile trail that goes around the lake and back to town. We covered a little over three miles round trip, starting at Russell Park and going down toward the lake and back again. Adam has just about maxed out his backpack, but we can probably stretch it for another season...
Aaron is hilarious while he is hiking... he talks nonstop. Which is not surprising, considering he talks nonstop any other time, but he never really seems to get winded.

My view.

We would regularly have to check on Adam, because he made no noises, at all. I think the movement of the pack, Daddy's heat, and the magic of the outdoors was lulling him to sleep.

From the trail, a view of the lake, through the trees.

Side route, down to the lake.

A beach (thanks to the low level) near the northwest end of the lake.
