The warthog was finally up and about, stinking the place up...
The big "kitties" were snuggling, it was great...
If you could hold your breath long enough, over by the rhinoceroses there was a gorgeous bed of columbine flowers.
I couldn't make it - I had to bail out. Amazing creatures - but their stench was too overwhelming.
The tiger finally graced us with his appearance. This was the best I could do, as he would not stop grooming himself.
Since my mom was with us we were able to leave our belongings and go into a couple of exhibits we did not get to see last time. This one was an area where little parrot-like birds roamed freely, along with the groups of loud, sugar-filled elementary aged children wielding cups of unidentifiable sticky fluid, which they fed to the birds. It is never a good sign when the attendant greets you at the door and warns that the birds bite. Aaron was not as impressed as we thought he would be. It was neat to get so close to the birds, however they were not interested in us since we didn't feed them.
Another benefit of having my mom along with us is finally getting a couple of pictures of all three of us...
