Passing Time

I am now 35 weeks pregnant, according to the original "40 week" due date calculation. I had a doctor's appointment last week (at 34 weeks) and my belly measurement was right at 40 weeks. So basically we are still having a big baby... just how big, no one will know until she makes her debut. But on July 7th I'll have another ultrasound and we'll make a best guess and probably just opt to get her out sooner, rather than later.

We've been holding up pretty well, trying to keep a little busy and yet get enough rest in that I don't lose my mind. It is difficult to want to cherish these last few weeks with just the boys and yet on the other hand be done with this pregnancy thing. I'm starting to get uncomfortable, but as a whole, everything is going smoothly. If I'm completely honest, the most challenging part is balancing my ever changing patience/mood/irritation level with keeping up with and schooling two energetic boys. We've explained to them what's going on and most of the time they're receptive, but they are still boys and out-of-body craziness is inevitable... so I just have to take deep breaths and be thankful :)

It's Father's Day today. We had a small celebration of our Daddy to remind him that we love him and are so thankful for him. The boys made cards, which is something they love doing these days and Autumn was even represented.
Present time!
I took a serious shot too, but this one is cuter. Any excuse for a cookie cake these days... while I'm "eating for two."
Autumn received her first piece of mail this week. It was weird, I pulled it out of the mailbox and did a double take when I read the address. It was a very sweet and personalized gift from a friend of mine. I felt it was worth documenting...
This tool bench and tools did not get played with for months so I packed it all up and it has been waiting at the door for a new home for a while now. The other day Adam decided he was going to do some serious shop work...
I'm not sure why he was shirtless, but there was probably a very good reason.
I asked if I could take his picture and this was his chosen pose.
The lump on the right side is her rump. It is almost always always sticking out now. If I'm grimacing its because she's doing her eight times a day slow motion stretches or yoga or something.
Doesn't Aaron look enormous? He loves riding in the cart with Braelynn when we meet them at Costco. He also loves talking Aunt Jenny's ears off the entire time we are strolling around.

I had an itch to take a road trip on Friday. Sure, I'm uncomfortable, but I don't think that's going to change so we might as well change the scenery while we still can. We went north to Waco and hit up the Mayborn Museum. We haven't been there in quite a while and they had a special exhibit on the shipwreck recovery company "Odyssey," that I thought the boys would enjoy.
Alan and his mini-me (Adam).
An attempt at a family documentation.
There was an interactive robot, which simulated the extraction experience. Trouble is the suction on the end of the arm did not work properly, so no matter how close you got to the coins, you couldn't pick them up. This didn't sit well with any of our boys, especially Alan... so they kept going back.
Visit the Mammoth.
Very serious things taking place here.
Music producers.
The water table room is also one of my boys' (all three) favorites. I'm pretty sure if bellies weren't growling for lunch, we could have stayed there all day.
A reluctant photo participant and the goober little brother in the background.
