The rest of February...

In my efforts to catch up on the blog, I plan to lump a bunch together - which makes for less posts, but each one is longer. So on the off chance you are still reading this and haven't given up on me completely, hang in there, it's a long one...

We are not too big on Valentine's Day, so a family picnic dinner at Lake Georgetown was perfect for us. The sunset was gorgeous that night, fully of color and cloud streaks. And on top of that, the moon was enormous, quite possibly the biggest moon I've seen in recent memory. Alan took a few panoramic photos with his phone and I'm not sure they will work too well on this medium, but you'll get the idea...

They love to play on the pebble beach at Russell Park.
You've got to love a forced hug pose.
Watching the moon rise.
Here's one of the puzzles Adam got for his birthday. He's a puzzle machine....
Another puzzle that Uncle Matt and Aunt Fi sent him. Its a little harder, but he really enjoys it.

Alan's sister Amy and her daughter Addyx came to town in mid February. We promised the boys a trip to the new children's museum for their birthday, so it was a good time to check it out.
The launch-your-own-glider bit was silly. He cranked this thing for a few minutes straight and made minimal progress before Alan took over. A lot of hype and a little reward. Moving on...
The light bright room was awesome.
"Look Mama, it's just my size."
When they first laid eyes on the outdoor playground.
Adam loves kitchen play. He sorted all of the fruits and vegetables, got grumpy when the other kids invaded his space, and prepared a yummy dinner of bananas, corn and strawberry for Daddy and me.
Sous chef.
It was no surprise that our kids took over the room with no flashing lights or fancy stuff. Just pillows and steps.
Then we went outside to the playground area. It was beautiful weather and the kids loved it. I tried to get them all together for a photo... this was the best I could muster...
Gee, I wonder who has more practice taking pictures? :)
Cool guys riding hogs.
A blurry attempt at a Mamas and kids photo.
Afternoon wind-down
The next day we went to our favorite local place to hike... Tejas Park.
My favorite view.
We like to stop where the lake begins for a snack and to throw rocks.
Aaron, all alone.
With Aunt Amy.
Aaron working it.
Every now and then I pass the camera to Alan so that there's proof I was along on the adventure... even if it is my back and pony tail. :)

 Later that day this happened...

Random cute photo.

The boys did basketball throughout the month of February at the Rec Center with our homeschool group.
Visit from Grandma.
And lastly, a cold clear winter's day trip to the Williamson County park...
Our sweet boys. They always insist on sitting nearly on top of each other.
A quick stop to Tractor Supply on the way home. Chicks!!
