Leftovers

Here are a few photos from over the past couple of weeks that did not necessarily fit into any of the previous posts or fell through the cracks because they were taken on one of our phones.
Aaron was highly impressed with the giant grapes we had at the Florence Vineyard Cafe.
I don't remember what was going on here... but clearly there was some drama involved.
Our new neighbor friend Zak spent some time with us while his parents were moving their things into the new house down the street. The boys had a blast together and Zak had no problem fitting right in...
Our dinner party.
After dinner we introduced Zak to the outdoor vehicles.
Zak taking Adam for a ride.

Adam loves to help water plants.
The next photos were before bedtime one night when Alan and Adam were just playing around, but I thought they were so cute. (PJs from Aunt Fi and Uncle Matt, in England).
I believe he said he was dancing.
Puffy chest... Machismo at age two.
One morning we went to the Farmer's Market, the Library, and then we stopped at Rivery Park to let the boys run around a bit before it got too hot. We tried out the trail that goes under the highway and down to the water. Adam had a bit of a meltdown on the way back toward the car. Suddenly his legs no longer operated correctly and he would periodically stop and refuse to go any further...

Boys playing on the porch.
Visiting Daddy at the station...standing next to one of the giant new brush trucks.
Aaron was teaching Adam some of his letters.
First nap in his new big boy bed!
Here's some of our handmade decorations for Daddy's Day this year...
The photos are of the boys.
Colorings done by each of us, and a note in the middle from Aaron.
After Aaron and I discussed what Father's Day was and what it meant, I asked him what he wanted to write in his note to his Daddy. At first he said "Daddy, I want to play with you." And after a brief chat, we decided to try something else and this is what he came up with...
"daddy, i want to be jnst (just) like you. Aaron"
Naturally, we had to decorate a cookie cake to match.

In other news, after thirteen years of firefighting, Alan got his first cat-in-a-tree call. He did his best and apparently was quite patient with the whole ordeal, however the cat was uncooperative, as most cats are. The noise right before the end is the owner screeching in response to her cat launching itself from its thirty foot perch in the tree.
