Our Christmas

12.23.11

Since we planned to spend Christmas weekend in San Antonio, we had our family celebration the day before we left. The boys are not quite old enough to understand what all the present business is about, but at least Aaron knows the facts about Christmas and baby Jesus. It was a few days early, but we still had stockings and gifts under the tree as on a normal Christmas morning.

Aaron assisting Alan in opening his stocking. Surely the contents were meant for him instead.
The boys got matching Cars 2 "stuffed" cars.
Adam was pretty excited about his "Mcgeen!"
Alan has his very own line of designer gift wrap.
Still taken by his new toy...
For our boys, gift unwrapping was a learned skill, Adam needs a bit more practice. He loses interest if the paper doesn't come off in one quick movement to reveal the actual gift. Plus the sensory overload that sets in after the second gift, or so, certainly doesn't help matters.
Aaron, in his old age of almost-four, has finally mastered the basic skills.
My sweet husband...
There has been a mix-up, clearly this box is for driving and parking my new cars on...
Adam driving the new Plasma Car.... while at the the home of a fellow firefighter for a Christmas party this year, Adam became very attached to their PlasmaCar, so we added it to his Christmas wish list. He loves it... and has even figured out how to drive it correctly. It is quite fun for big kids as well (okay, so just me, it's not really designed for Alan-sized kids).
