Playgrounds

The playground at Northrup Park is a common stop on Jeep rides these days. It is just across the highway from our neighborhood, has shade, and is rarely in use during the day... and Aaron loves it. Adam and I tagged along the other day and took some documentation.

Adam and I watching the action...
Daddy's turn, while I went down the slide a few times with Aaron...
Aaron burning energy and looking cool.

Thanks to the generosity of our friends the Tuckers, we have a pretty snazzy playground in our own backyard. Alan moved the fence over again and we have a final resting place for the playground, outside of Hayley's domain. Alan still has some staking to do and will lay sod in the near future over the trampled area that formerly belonged to the dogs.
Aaron loves the tower, he gets a thrill out of looking down on us.
There there is the slide. As Alan says, Aaron has a love-hate relationship with the slide. He is always asking to go out and "slide," but once we get out there and he is up in the tower, fear sets in. Once he finally works up the courage, I have to catch him at the bottom or this happens...
Which is followed by a little whining, some dusting, and then he climbs back up, literally...
The alternate way of reaching the tower has yet to be established, so this will have to work for now.

I'm so glad he'll be able to grow into it! I don't blame him about the slide, that thing is steep!
