We had our Christmas at home and then went over to my parents house for another gift-opening session. My sister and her husband, my brother, and my grandparents were all there.
Some family shots... Jenny and Barrett and the phone again...
Matt and Alan (grandma and grandpa in the background)...We were not too sure how interested Aaron would be, beyond the first initial pull, in opening presents or sitting there and peacefully watching everyone else open presents. As usual, he tolerating things very well and even surprised me a bit when it came time to open a gift. I placed it in his lap and show him a wrinkle in the paper and he went for it. Beyond the first gift it was a little more difficult because he had not yet finished playing with the last toy and soon became frustrated, overwhelmed, and covered in toys.
Daddy to the rescue, along with the drum Uncle Matt got him. Funny how he immediately knew what to do with it, that must be an innate boy thing.
Aaron hung in there for a couple of hours, then he decided it was time to go. On our ride back home he sat awake in this car seat, but was unable to hold his head up because he was so tired. For him, it had been a long morning of overstimulation!
