Bananas!

Before we go bananas, Aaron wanted me to show you all his new pair of jean shorts.

Today was the day that Aaron got to move on from plain ol' rice cereal and move into the amazing world of bananas! It is an amazing world - one I've never cared to enter before but for the sake of my little man one day saying "I'm not going to eat that mommy, you won't even eat that," I tried one. And let's just say it will be a slow process, at least I don't have to worry about him talking anytime soon.

He seemed to be confused at first and chewed on his first mouthful for a while. Overall he did quite well and ate the majority of the serving before I completely lost his attention and he lost his patience. Here is a picture of him after his banana adventure...

Then he got the sippy cup. He likes it a lot. He seems to do more gnawing than sucking and swallowing but the important thing is that he does indeed gulp every now and then - so that, my friends, is progress! (Remember this is the same child who is insulted and bewildered when we tried to teach him to drink from a bottle).


Then Aaron and I just decided to play with the self timer on the camera for a little while.
