In the midst of organizing and packing and organizing some more I have taken a dinner and brain break... from what? preparing for our trip to Lake Weiss, Alabama next week. I am a little overwhelmed: what to bring, what to leave, how to fit it all in the Jetta, etc.
More importantly, our boy turned five months today! He is doing all sorts of fun things like grabbing everything from noses to magazines, anything in reach really. Then there's the nonstop bicycling and new vocals. He is giggling a lot more lately too, in fact the other day a piece of parchment paper from my mother's meal kept him, and us, highly entertained for several minutes.
Fourth of July was relaxing and uneventful. We normally go see the fireworks show at Fiesta Texas with my dad but opted out this year because of Aaron's delicate little ears. We ran a few fun errands and then hung out at home. Despite the lack of activity, Aaron still had to dress for the occasion...
Here is another picture I just think is funny. This is standard procedure for Aaron after his evening nap... I've already picked him up and he plays "wet noodle" and takes about ten minutes to come back to life. If he has had a good nap this happens every night. Alan thinks he looks like a two year old here. I set the remote control in there for size reference.

that shirt is pretty cute! I'm stressed about packing as well, but super excited to get on the road :)
